IN THIS LESSON

Spiritual growth happens when we put God's words into action.

Have you ever heard the phrase “practice makes perfect”? Whether it’s sports, music, or any skill worth mastering, growth only happens through consistent practice. The same is true in our spiritual lives.

Week 2 is all about learning that following Jesus doesn’t happen by accident; it happens through healthy, intentional spiritual habits. While we often wish spiritual growth came naturally, the truth is we must learn and practice disciplines such as prayer, scripture reading, worship, and say yes to God to grow.

We’ll look at Colossians 3:10 and 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 to see how God gives us new life, but calls us to train & discipline ourselves as we run the race He’s set before us. A life that glorifies God is shaped by purpose, consistency, & daily choices.

We’ll also dive into James 1:22–25, learning that one of the most important habits we can build is not just hearing God’s Word, but reading it & obeying it. Spiritual growth happens when we put God's words into action.

Bottom Line: Keep practicing healthy habits.
Challenge: Commit to reading & obeying God’s Word every day this week.

We believe God will use these habits to shape our faith, strengthen our walk, and help us live fully in His purpose.
