Overview of the lesson
Scripture: Genesis 18:1–15 + Jeremiah 29:11 + Proverbs 3:5–6
This week, we learned about trusting God’s plan when His promises feel impossible. In Genesis 18, God promised Abraham and Sarah they would have a son, even though they were both very old.
Sarah laughed because the promise did not make sense to her. But God asked, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
Sarah doubted, but God remained faithful and fulfilled His promise.
This story reminds us that doubt shows up when God’s plan feels impossible, God is still good when we doubt, and we can trust His plan over our own understanding.
When we do not understand what God is doing, we can remember His faithfulness, trust His character, and believe that nothing is too hard for Him.
Bottom Line: God’s plan may not always make sense, but He is still good, faithful, and worthy of our trust.
