Overview of the lesson

Scripture: Luke 15:11-32 + Ephesians 2:4-5 + John 13:34-35

This week, we looked at Jesus’ Parable of the Lost Son and discovered that God’s love welcomes us home. Even when the son messed up, walked away, and wasted everything, the father was still watching, waiting, and ready to receive him with open arms.

God’s love does not work like a scoreboard. It is not based on how good we’ve been or how badly we’ve failed. Because of Jesus, God’s love forgives, restores, and reminds us who we are.

Bottom Line: God’s love welcomes you home, restores what sin tried to steal, and changes how you love others.
